Here's my Lee Friedlander attempt.

Went to a Durham Bulls game in North Carolina the other day. Very cool ballpark.

Just got home from two weeks on the road with the UK band: The Heavy. Really good guys and great band. Had a lot of fun and looking forward to more jams with the fellas.

We just blew a tire on the bus and sat on the side of the highway for a couple of hours waiting for repairs. There's interwebfi on the bus so everyone got super deep into cyberland. 1984? Then it started raining.

We're about 11 days in on this 3 week North East tour and folks usually start to lose it around here around this time. Being on the road is an exercise in sleep deprivation.

Another picture from day 1 of the May 2010 Sharon Jones tour.

Day 1 of the Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings May 2010 tour. Played an outdoor show and down the hill from the stage there is this beautiful Japanese garden. Fernando and Bosco took some time off to get centered and stuff.

It's nice to get away from the concrete jungle of Harlem sometimes. Took a trip to the Poconos Mountains in PA and rented a cabin. Very quaint and stuff.

Took a trip out to State College, PA where I went to High School recently. Farm time is good time.

Dinosaur Barbeque hang

Here's Al Street at Dinosaur Barbeque in NYC playing with the Craig Dreyer group. Look both ways before you cross him! Here's the Catfish I had. I like catfish. It's my favorite. Hello, catfish.

Sharon Jones can make anything look cool! I hang out at the American Legion Hall on 132nd between 7th and 8th in Harlem a lot. Here's the house band run by Seleno Clarke (L), and David Lee Jones (M), Renaud Penant (R)

These are from a recent video shoot for the upcoming Sharon Jones record "I Learned the Hard Way"

These are from a recent recording session where I was engineering. Once we got rolling I snuck in to the live room to snap a bit.

Day 4

Got a little snowstorm this week in NY. Snow slows everything down in the city so it's actually really nice. I'm still very timid to shoot people or be that jackhole with a camera guy. I'll get used to it. Being that jackhole.

Day 3

Still experimenting with my camera and having a ball doing it! Reading, shooting, editing... Good times.

Day 2

Day 2 of learning this whole photography business. Spent most of my morning figuring out file formats so I can edit in RAW format. Got it worked out and here's my first shots in that format. They are definitely more crisp and easier to manipulate in post. I'm reading a book by John Beardsworth called "Advanced Digital Black and White Photography". It pretty much rocks. PMR. I'd be shooting in the dark without it. Haha.

Baby steps

I've always been very interested in photography and recently just got a semi pro camera. I'm digging in and learning about all the technical side of photography so I can go out and start having fun and eventually be able to make my own record covers among other things. Here are my first shots.

Freaky... blogging

I've been avoiding this situation for a while but I guess it's time to dive in to the blogging world. I just put up a new website where I have total control of updates and the feel of it so I figure now is as good a time as any to get into this as a tool to post more stuff online.

I'll be posting pictures, videos, comments and other stuff along the way.
